Day 1 – Colombo to Negombo
Arrive airport & transfer to hotel. Overnight at Jetwing Lagoon, Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo to Kandalama (B/L/D)
After breakfast depart hotel and transfer to Dambulla. Enjoy a Village Safari – short jeep ride, then walk through the forest and cross the river to a local village where you will climb up to a crop watch tower and witness a traditional cooking demonstration followed by a freshly prepared lunch. Elephant ride included before continuing onto Kandalama. Overnight Kandalama at Heritance Kandalama.
Day 3 – Kandalama (B/D)
After breakfast depart hotel and transfer to Sigiriya Rock where you will climb 400ft. In the afternoon we explore by bicycle, the historic relics and temples of Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Overnight Kandalama at Heritance Kandalama
Day 4 – Kandalama to Passikudah (B/D)
After breakfast, check out of hotel and as you depart Dambulla, visit the impressive Dambulla Cave Temple, 2000 square feet comprising five caves with many images and carvings of the Buddha. Continue to Passikudah for two nights to enjoy long stretches of white sandy beach and incredible scuba diving opportunities (diving optional extra).
Day 5 – Passikudah (B/D)

Day 6 – Passikudah to Kandy (B/D)
Travel to Kandy via a Spice Garden in Matale. On arrival into Kandy, we will drive up to a vantage point overlooking the city, you will have the opportunity to purchase a locally mined gem and understand the gem mining process at a gem factory. Walk around the lake and see the Palace where the Temple of the Tooth Relic is located, finished with a cultural performance. Overnight Kandy at Earls Regency
Day 7: – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (B/D)
After breakfast drive through the hills from Kandy as you climb to Nuwara Eliya. On the way we will visit Blue Fields Tea Factory for you to experience a tour of the factory to understand the process of making tea. Continue onto Nuwara Eliya, also known to the locals as ‘little England’ due to its cooler climate and picturesque setting. Experience afternoon High Tea at the Grand Hotel. Overnight at Heritance Tea Factory.
Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya (B/D)
Early morning departure from the hotel with a boxed breakfast and travel by van to Horton Plains National Park. On the way you will see three of Sri Lanka’s four highest peaks, then after entering the Park you will have an 8km round trip walk featuring Badka Falls, Mini Worlds End and Worlds End – offering magnificent views and a drop-off of 1000m. Return to the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation, where you may opt for a spa treatment or a tea picking experience. Overnight Kandapola at Heritance Tea Factory.
Day 9 – Nuwara Eliya to Yala (B/D)
After breakfast we commence our descent from the Hills via Ella where you will enjoy stunning scenery and waterfalls, then arrive early afternoon at Yala. Search for the elusive leopard, black bear, elephant, jackal, buffalo and deer on your first wildlife safari in the famous Yala National Park. See the plains come alive at as dusk falls. Overnight in Yala at Cinnamon Wild.
Day 10 – Yala (B/D)
Rise early for your second wildlife safari. Remainder of day at leisure and perhaps enjoy a stroll by the beach or wildlife spotting within the hotel grounds. Overnight in Yala at Cinnamon Wild.
Day 11 – Yala to Galle (B/D)
Awake with a breakfast before we take the coastal road towards Galle. En-route visit the blowhole at Dikwella and see the southern-most point of Sri Lanka at the lighthouse in Dondra. Passing by the famous fisherman on stilts in Mirissa, you will continue to Galle for overnight at Jetwing Lighthouse.
Day 12 – Galle (B/D)
After breakfast take a short drive to the old town of Galle and visit the Dutch Fortress where you can walk around the walls and enjoy the grounds. Drive through the old town, see the cricket stadium, transport interchange and the new town. Visit the Foundation of Goodness in Hikkaduwa for a cooking experience. Overnight in Galle at Jetwing Lighthouse.
Day 13 – Galle to Negombo (B/D)
After breakfast commence the journey along the coast to Colombo, passing by produce and flower markets as well as memorials to 2004 Tsunami victims. Afternoon city tour in Colombo then onto your hotel. Overnight in Negombo at Jetwing Sea.
Day 14 – Negombo to Colombo (B)
Transfer to airport as we bid farewell to Sri Lanka and commence the return journey home.
